He used the logarithmic spiral as the foundation and accomplished even distribution of light with the three-shade-system, which together with a dispersed reflection through the glass made it possible to curb glare and shadow.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eEach PH lamp number refers to the size of its shades. The PH 4½ - 3½ Glass Floor consists of a top shade of approximately 45 cm with lower shades from the 3½ version.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards.
