Nestled just outside of London, Birch Hotel is more than a hospitality destination, it’s a fully immersive design experience. The 2023 refurbishment, led by Holder Mathias Architects, reimagines the hotel as a sanctuary for connection, creativity, and comfort. At the heart of this transformation is Audo Copenhagen, whose signature lighting, furniture, and design ethos bring harmony and purpose to every corner.
Audo’s presence at Birch is both subtle and powerful. From sculptural lighting that casts soft, ambient glow to thoughtfully placed furnishings that invite guests to linger, each piece supports the hotel’s mission to be a place of restoration and inspiration.
In communal areas, the Eave Modular Sofa – Open Section anchors lounges with its inviting form, encouraging spontaneous conversation and quiet reflection alike. At the bar, the clean silhouettes of Afteroom Bar Chairs balance utility and elegance, while tactile textures and muted tones support a sense of calm throughout. The result is a space that feels intentional yet effortless—minimalist without ever being cold.
A standout of the interiors is Audo’s lighting selection. With architectural-grade fixtures that blend seamlessly into their environment, lighting becomes part of the architecture itself. Throughout hallways and gathering spaces, Audo’s soft, diffused lighting guides movement and creates an emotional sense of place.
