Illuminating Productivity

Say goodbye to dull home offices and uninspired cubicles, Linden Palais in Berlin redefines what a modern workplace can feel like. Designed by Norm Architects in collaboration with The Office Group, the flexible office concept brings luxury, history, and warmth together in one unforgettable space. At its heart, the lighting is what transforms this workplace from simply functional to truly inspiring.

Linden Palais, built in 1908, carries its history with pride, arched windows, marble details, and ornate engravings create a dialogue with contemporary design. Norm Architects leaned into this narrative, using lighting as the thread that connects past and present. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interiors with natural daylight, which is then balanced by carefully layered artificial light that highlights both the grandeur of the architecture and the intimacy of workspaces.

Rather than imposing traditional chandeliers or corporate downlighting, the design embraces modern, human-centric fixtures that encourage well-being and creativity. Elegant pendants and sculptural floor lamps act as quiet companions in collaborative areas, while task lighting ensures focus in dedicated work zones. The play of soft, diffused light on marble and wood textures creates an ambiance closer to a boutique hotel than a boardroom.

In meeting rooms and lounge spaces, warm glows invite conversation and connection, while subtle wall and ceiling lights emphasize the heritage details without overpowering them. The result is a workplace where light is not just illumination, it’s atmosphere, emotion, and identity.

At Linden Palais, lighting doesn’t simply support productivity; it elevates it. It proves that the right glow can turn office hours into experiences worth returning for, a palace where work feels like a privilege rather than an obligation.
