In the heart of Oslo, Restaurant Bon Lio offers more than fine dining — it’s an experience where Spanish soul meets Scandinavian restraint. Designed by Audo Copenhagen, the restaurant’s interior celebrates intimacy, texture, and the poetry of contrast.
Bon Lio’s concept revolves around warmth — in its food, lighting, and materials. Every design choice evokes a quiet sophistication that feels both elevated and inviting. The space balances Oslo’s cool minimalism with Mediterranean richness: soft curves meet natural materials, warm light diffuses across textured walls, and the palette of muted earth tones and deep woods creates a sense of calm familiarity.
Furnished with pieces from Audo Copenhagen, including the Harbour Bar Chair, Co Dining Chair, and Afteroom Bar Stool, the restaurant captures the essence of modern Nordic design — functional, tactile, and effortlessly elegant. These sculptural yet understated pieces anchor the space, complementing the restaurant’s fluid architectural lines and creating an atmosphere that feels refined yet approachable.
Lighting plays a central role in shaping the experience. Audo Copenhagen’s Riviera Pendant and Hashira Table Lamps cast an ambient, golden glow, bringing a sense of intimacy to each table. The interplay between light and shadow creates a rhythm that mirrors the restaurant’s approach to cuisine, layered, intentional, and deeply sensory.
Bon Lio is proof that good design, like good food, is about balance, between precision and passion, elegance and comfort. In MENU’s thoughtful design, diners discover not just a meal, but a moment, one that lingers, softly illuminated, long after the last course.
