Tom Dixon outdoor lighting design and furniture

First Outdoor Collection

Tom Dixon has long been known for his bold, sculptural approach to design, pieces that don’t just furnish a space, but transform it. Now, with the launch of his first outdoor collection, that ethos extends under open skies. From breezy balconies to sun-soaked terraces, Dixon’s latest designs blur the boundaries between inside and out, offering an elevated vision of alfresco living.

At the center of this new chapter is Groove, a striking furniture series that feels both architectural and approachable. Designed by the in-house Tom Dixon Studio in London, the collection draws inspiration from Art Deco geometry, reinterpreted with a modern edge. The chairs and tables are distinguished by raised ridges that run in rhythmic formation, lending a tactile identity to each piece while echoing classic ornamentation through contemporary materiality.

Crafted from high-quality aluminum and finished with a solvent- and VOC-free powder coat, Groove is as durable as it is beautiful. The collection is built to withstand the elements, corrosion-resistant, easy to maintain, and effortless to stack and store. Available in two rich, neutral hues—Moss and Putty—each piece is designed to sit quietly within its natural surroundings while still commanding attention. Whether placed in a private courtyard or hospitality space, Groove offers the kind of thoughtful functionality that supports both style and performance.

The collection also includes custom-designed cushions for added comfort, inviting long conversations and lingering moments outdoors. Paired with the Groove Obround Table, the full setting becomes a study in visual harmony and ergonomic simplicity, intended for the outdoors, but worthy of any interior.

Extending the spirit of boundaryless design even further is Dixon’s celebrated range of portable lights, now reimagined for life beyond the plug. Icons like Melt, Bell, Pose, and Stone are rendered cordless and rechargeable, bringing sculptural illumination to any setting. From the reflective surface of the Bell to the hypnotic translucence of the Melt, each lamp is a testament to Dixon’s belief that lighting is not merely functional, but experiential.
