String Light Sphere Head Pendant

Design: Michael Anastassiades, 2014 for Flos.

Designed by Michael Anastassiades in 2014, String Light transforms the cable into a defining design element, allowing users to shape the lamp’s path around their own environment. It draws quiet, architectural lines through space, inspired by overhead power lines and the festive lights strung across Mediterranean squares. Poetic yet precise, it reflects Anastassiades’ pursuit of purity through reduction, offering flexible, atmospheric light for modern living.

Suspension lamp emitting diffused light with a sphere-shaped head in varnished die-cast aluminum coated with clear soft-touch varnish and an optical diffuser in opal polycarbonate. The suspension system includes a Kevlar-reinforced coaxial cable (39 ft or 72 ft). Each set includes one head with its cable and your choice of ceiling canopy (powers up to 3 heads) or floor switch (powers up to 2 heads), in the same color. Choose the Soft Touch Dimmer version (touch dimmer on the head) or the Casambi App Control version, dimmable wirelessly with the Flos Control app by Casambi. Extra cable is available separately as the String Light Extension Cable.
