When Louis Poulsen asked Vilhelm Wohlert to design a pendant for both small and large spaces that was easy to install, maintain and change bulbs in, he designed the Wohlert pendant, presented for the first time in 1959.

The Wohlert pendant is made of white opal glass and emits a general, diffused and even illumination. The quality of the glass ensures that the fixture provides a comfortable uniform glow. In addition, the opening at the bottom of the shade provides a direct downwards light.
