Moonsetter Floor Lamp

Anne Boysen designed the award-winning Moonsetter as part of the Next Danish Design Classic contest, which was broadcast on Danish television in 2020. Merging geometric shapes, Moonsetter invites users to explore light and space.

Made of chrome-plated aluminium, Moonsetter is breathtaking both when switched on and off. With a rotating disk, the floor lamp allows users to customise the reflections, choosing between the chrome-plated side which reflects the light or the white side which gives a soft, diffused light. The light source is elegantly submerged in the frame, allowing Moonsetter to produce the glare-free light which is characteristic of Louis Poulsen products. Moonsetter has a footswitch which allows users to dim the light to any desired level. Please note that Moonsetter is designed only as a floor lamp and is not suitable as a table lamp.

The sculptural floor lamp in chrome-plated aluminum has a rotating disc that allows customization of the reflection of the glare-free light emitted by the LED light source elegantly submerged in the frame. The disc rotates 360° around its own axis and is white on one side and reflective on the other. Tilted towards the white side, the light becomes soft and diffuse, whereas the opposite chrome side reflects the light panel directly for a completely different expression. The light is directed according to the position of the disc. The surroundings are mirrored in the frame and the chrome side of the disc. The lamp offers stepless dimming and is turned on and off by the rotating footswitch on the cylinder.
