Hector Bibendum Wall Light

The Hector Bibendum, designed by Sir Terence Conran to celebrate Original BTC's 21st birthday and the Michelin building's centenary, is a fresh take on our Hector. With a white, rippled shade in bone china and colorful cotton braided cable, this is a stylish and contemporary lighting choice. Also available as a pendant, table and floor light.

Manufacturing
Each bone china light is manufactured according to traditional methods by our highly skilled team in Stoke-on-Trent. The process, which takes multiple days, begins with a slip (clay and water mix) being poured into molds. Once set, the molds are split and the shade, base or ceiling rose is removed and left overnight to dry before being sponged and fettled to remove any imperfections.
The items are finally biscuit fired or dipped in a glaze and gloss-fired for a natural white finish.

Sustainability
As a family business, we feel a deep responsibility to our communities and the world around us. We prioritize UK manufacturing and materials, reducing transport emissions while supporting local industry. To offset the carbon generated by our offices, showrooms, manufacturing, and fulfillment facilities, we invest in high-impact projects that deliver both social and environmental benefits.
