PH 3-2.5 Outdoor Bollard

This model was presented in 2005, based on Poul Henningsen’s celebrated three-shade system, which he created in 1925 to shape excellent non-glare lighting.

The black painted steel fitting with its matt white tinted inner shades emits a downward directed glare-free, soft and pleasant light. It is one of three PH outdoor lights available.

Henningsen had a distinct scientific approach to light and continued to design numerous luminaires based on the same system. He used the logarithmic spiral as the foundation and accomplished even distribution of light with the multi-shade-system, which made it possible to curb glare and shadow.

Each PH lamp number refers to the size of its shades. The PH 3 – 2½ Bollard consists of a top shade of approximately 30 cm with lower shades from the 2½ version.

The fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards. The shades have a matte white painted interior surface, diffusing the light in a comfortable way.
