In addition, its technical precision requires no exposed springs or counterweights to stay in the specified position.

The word Scantling refers to a wooden strip that was formerly used as a unit of measurement, especially in shipbuilding—and that is precisely what stands out the most about the wall version, the small wooden handle that allows for easy control of the shade position.
